Meet Ms. Mariann

Hello, friends and families! I am Ms. Mariann, 2nd grade teacher for Discovery Academy. I am a passionate writer and it is always my goal to encourage young writers, fostering a love for and confidence in writing. I also love history and anthropology (and admittedly have been known to go on a bit-too-lengthy speech at times about where/when/how something came about)!

Outside of school, I enjoy music and singing, reading, and listening to stand-up comedy. My favorite things to do are essentially anything with my daughter, Adrienne! I also love taking my nieces on arcade and museum adventures as well as going to movies and dinners with my parents.

I am looking forward to the 25-26 school year, and teaching your little ones all the fundamentals of 2nd grade in the most efficient and fun ways that we can learn!
